Fix the cause before adding parts
Water problems are easier to solve after watching where the water is actually going. Downspouts, low spots, compacted soil and bad slope can all create similar symptoms.
For irrigation, schedule changes and head adjustments are often the first place to start. For drainage, the outlet and slope matter just as much as the trench itself.
